OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Redhawks earned their second straight win against the New Orleans Zephyrs Friday, 10-1.
The Redhawks’ Matthew Brown hit his fifth home run of the season with a two-run shot to center field in the bottom of the third inning. Teammate Brandon Boggs followed in similar fashion in the bottom of the sixth, hitting a homer to right field.
The Redhawks (15-7) posted one run in the seventh inning and finished with a strong eighth inning at the plate, scoring five runs.
Oklahoma City held the Zephyrs (8-13) scoreless until the ninth inning, when Lee Mitchell singled to center field, hitting home teammate Jason Lane for New Orleans’ only run of the game.
The two teams face each other again Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
