Sooners Wrapping up Spring Practice

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma’s Spring Practice schedule culminates Saturday with their annual Spring Game and head coach Bob Stoops is trying something different this year.

“I’m going to bring the seniors up on Thursday and we’re going to split them up and they’re going to draft their team,” Stoops said. “We’ll probably go by position because somebody may not be schooled at the draft and end up with no linemen.”

Despite Landry Jones being the projected starter, freshman quarterback Drew Allen shouldn’t be too far behind.

“Drew has come on. He’s done some nice things,” Stoops said. “He’s made some good progress here lately.”

The Spring Game will kick off at 2 p.m. at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memoria Stadium Saturday.
