Tulsa Ends Three-Game Series with Win Over Memphis

The Golden Hurricane hit two home runs, helping them edge out the Tigers and win the three-game series.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa Golden Hurricane ended its three-game series against the Memphis Tigers Sunday with a 5-3 win.

Second baseman Kelly Chapman hit a two-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to cap off the victory. Teammate Lauren Lindsay also hit a round-tripper in the third inning.


Jackie Lawrence pitched seven innings for the Golden Hurricane, giving up five hits and earning seven strikeouts on the day.

Pitcher Vanessa Walle started for Tigers, completing 2.1 innings. During her time at the mound, Walle gave up three hits, including Lindsay's home run. Carly Hummel ended the game for Memphis and took the loss.

Tulsa hosts the Arkansas Razorbacks March 31 at 4 p.m.
