TULSA, Oklahoma -- Oral Roberts squeaked past North Dakota 5-4 Saturday. The Golden Eagles have won four straight.
Colby Price crossed the plate on Tyler Saladino’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth. That proved to be the game-winning run as ORU (9-10) broke a 4-4 tie.
Both of Seth Furmanek's hits came via the long ball. His first home run was a two-run shot in the bottom of the fourth that tied the game at 2-2. His next home run came in his next at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. That solo shot followed P.J. Sequeira’s solo homer.
Bryce Smolen (2-1) went the distance for ORU, striking out seven while giving up four runs (two earned) and six hits.
The Golden Eagles will look to sweep the Bison in the conclusion of their three-game series at 1 p.m., Sunday.
