Oklahoma Overwhelms Arkansas, Despite Rain Delay

The Sooners beat the Razorbacks 6-1 Wednesday, despite a 26-minute rain delay.

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas -- No. 12 Oklahoma won its 11th away game Wednesday in a 6-1 victory over the University of Arkansas.

The Sooners (26-7) were led by pitcher Keilani Ricketts, who pitched her 13th complete game this season. The freshman allowed just one run and four hits, while recording six strikeouts.

Pitcher Layne McGuirt fell to 5-4 this season after ending the game with four runs, seven hits and one walk for the Razorbacks (18-11).

OU was up 4-0 in the fifth, when rainfall delayed the game. The Sooners returned to play 26 minutes later, adding two insurance runs in the top of the seventh.

The Razorbacks responded in the bottom of the seventh with one run to end the game.

The Sooners open Big 12 Conference play this weekend, as they host Missouri.
