STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma State defeated Wisconsin 9-1 and Prairie View A&M 10-0 Friday. The No. 20 Cowgirls improved to 17-6 on the season.
Kat Espinosa threw a two-hitter including 10 strikeouts against Wisconsin. Taylor Marcum threw a three-hit shutout to go along with 10 strikeouts against PVAMU. Alysia Hamilton went 4-for-7 with five RBIs.
The Cowgirls scored six runs in the sixth inning. Megan Castle and Hamilton each drove in two runs.
In the second game of the night, Marcum’s first start of the season concluded with a complete game shutout. Oklahoma State plated six runs in the second inning as Marcum cruised the rest of the game.
The Cowgirls will face Rutgers at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, and an opponent to be determined at either 4:30 or 7 p.m.
