NORMAN, Oklahoma -- University of Oklahoma sophomore guard Willie Warren will have season-ending arthroscopic surgery on his injured right ankle on Wednesday.
The Sporting News Preseason Preseason Player of the Year originally hurt his ankle during a January practice and has missed the last four games due to injury. He reinjured it in OU’s Feb. 17 loss to Colorado.
Warren averaged a team-high 16.3 points per game in 21 games this season.
Oklahoma closes its regular season Saturday against No. 23 Texas A&M.
