What you need to know?
San Antonio is playing inconsistently, at best, and is coming off two road losses. The Spurs fell to the Sixers 106-94 on Feb. 19 and the Pistons 109-101 Feb. 21 and are looking to bounce back as they play their first home game since January. The Spurs will be returning to the stench of the annual San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, held in the AT&T Center last week. It still remains unknown whether Tony Parker’s hip will keep him out of the game, but according to Parker, he’ll try to suit up and play if he feels up to it.
The Thunder is also coming off a loss. Oklahoma City fell to the Suns Tuesday night after Phoenix went on a 7-0 run to end the game 104-102. The loss marked the end of the team’s winning streak at nine games and could provide the Thunder with the motivation to rebound with a win against conference foe.
Who to watch?
Kevin Durant’s still pressing toward Michael Jordan in the record book, scoring 36 points to earn his 29th-straight game of 25 points or more. Durant’s leadership and performance has morphed the previously 23-59 team into the current 33-22. Along with Durant, Russell Westbrook has recorded some big games. The point guard earned a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
