Memphis Snaps Tulsa's 23-game Home Winning Streak

The Golden Hurricane fell at the Reynolds Center for the first time since early 2009.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa had its 23-game home winning streak snapped by Memphis with a 93-86 loss Saturday. The Golden Hurricane’s last home loss was Jan. 13, 2009 against Memphis

Bishop Wheatley had 21 points while Ben Uzoh scored 20 and Jerome Jordan added 19.

Tulsa (18-7, 8-2) opened the second half on a 17-3 run to tie the game at 49. Memphis (19-6, 8-3) was able to poke back in front and took a 77-66 lead with 4:40 left in the contest. Ben Uzoh’s 3-pointer brought the Golden Hurricane back to within four but TU was not able to get any closer.

Memphis was able to gain separation in the first half on the strength of an 11-2 run. The Tigers led 46-32 at halftime.

Elliot Williams had a game-high 27 points for Memphis.
