NORMAN, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma Sooners were undefeated at home in Big 12 play, but the Texas Tech Red Raiders ended the streak, dropping the Sooners 72-71.

Two quick layups early in the game gave OU a 7-2 lead, and a another quick 4-0 run game the Sooners a 13-7 lead, their biggest of the game.

With five minutes left in the first half, the Red Raiders scored three easy baskets in the paint, including four points from Darko Cohadarevic. Texas Tech would go into the half with a 36-28 lead.

Cohadrevic scored eight and grabbed seven rebounds in the first half, but fouled out with one minute left in the game and finished with 12 points.

Texas Tech’s John Roberson led all scorers with 22, scoring 14 of his points in the second half.

With five minutes left in the game, Tommy Mason-Griffin was fouled on a 3-point shot and converted on the four-point play. On the inbound pass, Mason-Griffin stepped in front of Mike Singletary to force the turnover and Tiny Gallon capitalized on poor defense to ignite the crowd with a dunk.

Willie Warren scored 18, grabbed four rebounds, and dished out five assists, while Tony Crocker recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

The Sooners are back in action Feb. 13 in Stillwater for the second Bedlam Game of the season.
