OKLAHOMA CITY -- For the first time of his career, Russell Westbrook was named NBA Western Conference Player of the Week. The point guard helped lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 3-0 week – as part of a five-game win streak – and averaged 19.7 points, 9.7 assists, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.3 steals per game last week.

Westbrook tied an NBA season-high with eight steals against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.

After the Thunder play the Portland Trailblazers on Tuesday night, Westbrook will be off to Dallas to play for the Sophomore team in the 2010 T-Mobile Rookie Challenge.
