Oral Roberts Guard Leaves Team

According to head coach Scott Sutton, Oral Roberts guard Beloved Rogers has left the team and will not return.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Oral Roberts guard Beloved Rogers is no longer with the team. Head coach Scott Sutton announced on Monday that Rogers has left the team and won't return.

As a result, freshman guard Mikey Manghum has been taken out of redshirt and is now an active member of the squad.

Rogers played in four of ORU’s six games this season, averaging 1.8 points and 1.0 rebounds per game. He appeared in 30 games as a freshman, averaging 2.0 points and 0.9 rebounds.

Manghum is in his first season with the Golden Eagles. He captained England’s U-18 squad last summer which finished fourth in the European Championships in Sarajevo, averaging 10.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists in eight games.
