COLLEGE STATION, Texas-- If you looked at the rushing stats in the Oklahoma State-Texas A&M box score, you may have thought Kendall Hunter was back in the starting lineup. The leading rusher in the Cowboys’ 36-31 win had 130 yards on 26 carries.

Those yards did not belong to Hunter, though. They belonged to backup running back Keith Toston. Toston was two yards away from his career-high in rushing yards and also had a team-high 74 yards receiving against the Aggies.

“Keith is a Thurman Thomas without the breakaway speed,” head coach Mike Gundy said. “Great blocker, great hands, tough runner and smart. He's very reliable in a play-calling situation.”

It was Toston’s fourth 100-yard rushing performance and his first since running for 114 yards and two touchdowns last year against Troy.
