TULSA, Oklahoma -- A man was rushed to the hospital after crashing his SUV into a utility pole, snapping it in half. Tulsa police say that at about 12:30 a.m. Friday, the driver of a Chevy Tahoe was headed west on 31st Street near Sheridan at a high rate of speed.
The driver suddenly left the roadway, running the vehicle into a utility pole which caused the vehicle to role. The driver was ejected from the vehicle but when emergency crews arrived he was able to talk to the medics.
At one point, however, he became unresponsive and was taken to a local hospital.
He is expected to be ok.
