TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa Police officer is being credited with stopping a man from running over a woman early Thursday in the 4300 block of North Garrison Place.
Shortly after midnight a police officer was dispatched to a report of a disturbance. As he arrived, he saw 51-year-old Bobby Rentie strike a woman with his ¾-ton pickup truck.
The impact knocked the woman off her feet and into the air. As Rentie was backing up, the officer ordered Rentie to stop and get out.
Rentie complied and was arrested.
The woman was taken by EMSA to a Tulsa hospital where she was treated and released.
Bobby Rentie was taken to the Tulsa County jail and booked on a complaint of domestic assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
