Group Lobbies Tulsa Council To Change City Government

TULSA, Oklahoma -- It looks like Tulsans will have a say on changing how we elect our city councilors.

A citizens group, Save Our Tulsa, asked the council Thursday to set an election to vote on three petitions.

1. The first one reorganizes the council to include 3 at-large super districts.
2. The second one changes their terms from three years to two.
3. The third one makes the elections non-partisan.

The group is asking the council to set the election in either on July 12, 2011 or August 9, 2011.
