Free Landfill Day Lets Tulsans Shuck Junk For Free

TULSA -- Tulsa residents can dump -- without cost -- almost anything at the Quarry Landfill Sunday.

This is one of two annual Free Landfill Days for Tulsans. Residents must show a driver's license with a Tulsa address, or a city utility bill, to dump their items.

There are some exceptions. The landfill will not accept any items containing Freon refrigerant, and that includes air conditioners and refrigerators.

There will also be a $2 fee for each discarded tire.

The Quarry Landfill is located on 46th Street North, just east of US 169. Tulsa residents can drop off items from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
