TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa and Broken Arrow are teaming up to grow the regional economy.
On Tuesday morning, the Chambers of Commerce from both communities signed a commitment that includes cooperation on economic and legislative issues.
It's the first compact of its kind in Oklahoma, which outlines how the two cities will work together and market themselves.
"Trying to work together more strategically, trying to work together smarter, more efficiently, to recruit new business, assist existing industry in growing and expanding," Mike Neal, with the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce, said.
Neal said by coming together, both Chambers of Commerce hope to be more efficient and effective. The two chambers hope more communities will join them in the coming months.
