TULSA, Oklahoma -- NASA will announce at noon Oklahoma time where the retiring space shuttles will go on display once the program ends this summer.
Twenty-one museums, including Tulsa's Air and Space Museum, put in bids for the spaceships.
NASA is disclosing the winners Tuesday, April 12, 2011, the 30th anniversary of the first space shuttle launch in 1981. Up for grabs are shuttles Discovery, Endeavour and Atlantis and the prototype Enterprise.
Discovery is rumored to have been promised to the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum, which already has Enterprise.
Folks at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum have their fingers crossed.
