TULSA, Oklahoma -- About four dozen Tulsa County children who experience a crisis situation will have a little homemade love to help them.
Residents from the Montereau Retirement Community donated about four dozen teddy bears Friday to the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.
They have been sewing and crocheting the bears.
"Anybody that's going to see one of these bears is going to see this was made with a lot of time, a lot of love, and a lot of effort," Brian Edwards, Tulsa County Undersheriff, said. "It's a great tool for us."
Deputies will keep the bears with them to give to children who need a little comfort during traumatic situations.
