TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol cited each driver in two single-vehicle crashes on I-244 in Tulsa late Tuesday and early Wednesday morning.
At about 11:45 p.m., Tulsa Fire, EMSA and the OHP were sent to a one-vehicle crash on westbound I-244 just west of U.S. Highway 169.
Troopers say a pickup truck entered I-244 from 169 and the driver lost control and the truck hit the guardrail.
The man driving the pickup truck was unhurt, but his female passenger was taken to a Tulsa hospital by EMSA.
The OHP trooper says the driver was cited for driving too fast for existing conditions.
At about 2:20 a.m. Tulsa Fire, EMSA and the OHP were again dispatched to a crash on I-244, this time just west of Mingo. An eastbound driver told troopers one of his tires blew out, causing his SUV to strike the cable barrier.
But troopers say inattentive driving actually led to the crash.
The OHP cited the driver, who was not hurt.
