Tullahassee Man Arrested For The Murder Of His Wife

TULLAHASSEE, Oklahoma -- The Wagoner County Sheriff's Office arrested a man late Sunday in connection with the shooting death of his wife.

Sheriff Bob Colbert says 62-year-old Marvin Gaines of Tullahassee was booked into the county jail late Sunday night.

Gaines is being held without bond in connection with the death of 49-year-old Mae Gaines.

Colbert says Gaines called the sheriff's office and told them he had shot his wife. When deputies arrived at the home, they found his wife dead. Gaines told investigators he shot his wife during an argument.

He is expected to be charged Monday.
