TULSA, Oklahoma -- Fire at a Tulsa catering service threatened other strip mall businesses on the southeast corner of 61st and Sheridan overnight Sunday.
Tulsa Fire Captain Tim Marcotte said crews were dispatched to Mershon's Catering at about midnight. When they arrived at the business, they found heavy smoke and flames shooting from the roof.
Marcotte said with open attic spaces connecting stores in a strip mall, it is very easy for fires to travel. In this case, they were able to keep the flames confined to Mershon's Catering.
Investigators are working to learn the cause of the fire.
