MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma -- A D.P.S. radio technician from Oklahoma City has been charged with videotaping people in a restroom at the Oklahoma Highway Patrol office in Muskogee.
Roger Logan, 57, was charged this week with Use Of Electronic Or Video Equipment To Clandestinely Procure/Make/Prepare Material For A Prurient Or Lascivious Purpose.
Court records say Logan confessed to placing the camera in the restroom at the Department of Public Safety office as well as four other locations around Oklahoma.
According to court records, a customer at the driver license office in Muskogee found the camera under a sink in the restroom on June 30, 2010. It was hidden in a wadded up paper sack on the floor next to a trash can. She alerted an employee who then removed the camera from the restroom.
The investigator says Logan, who was in Muskogee that day to fix a radio problem, followed the employee into the kitchen and eventually had the camera in his possession several times that day, before it was secured by a supervisor.
Investigators attempted to retrieve the files on the camera, which had been deleted. They sent the camera to the FBI, which restored the files but could not get the video to play.
The investigator says he interviewed Logan on October 12th, 2010 and Logan eventually confessed to placing the camera in the restroom.
According to court documents, Logan said he placed the camera in the restroom two times on June 30, 2010, once in the morning for about 45 minutes and the second time when it was discovered by the customer.
The investigator says Logan confessed to placing cameras at other locations. They include a Purcell doctor's office, a Norman dentist's office and public restrooms at Lake Thunderbird in Cleveland County and Lake Elmer Thomas in Comanche County.
Logan's next court date is March 24, 2011 in Muskogee.
