TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma -- A former Arkansas sheriff deputy who had been subject of a four month manhunt was arrested in Tahlequah Friday.
Gary Wilson, 43, was picked up on rape charges by Cherokee County Sheriff Deputies, according the U.S. Marshals Service.
Wilson is suspected of raping a young girl in Arkansas back in 2010.
Authorities say his law enforcement experience may have helped him stay in hiding as long as he did.
Wilson was extradited back to Arkansas and is being held on a $150,000 bond.
