Tropical Birds To Land At Glenpool Elementary's Literacy Night

GLENPOOL, Oklahoma -- Glenpool Elementary will have special guests during their Literacy Night for parents and students Thursday, March 3. Lynn Crew of "Fight 4 Flight," a non-profit organization for the rescue of abandoned tropical birds, will be on hand with some of her feathered friends.

In keeping with the night's theme, "If I Ran the Rainforest," Crew will discuss her program for the support and adoption of rescued birds.

The Literacy Night will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. as Glenpool teachers, administrators and reading specialists guide parents and students in a night of reading stories and having fun, according to teacher Traci Nelson.
