TULSA, Oklahoma – The Board of Education at Tulsa Public Schools unanimously approved Superintendent Dr. Keith Ballard's proposal to make up several snow days, district officials said Wednesday.

The changes, approved during Tuesday night's board meeting, will add 30 minutes to the end of each school day starting February 28 – May 11, 2011. Classes will also be held on April 8, 2011, a day which students previously had off.

Continuous learning schools, which include Choteau Elemetnary, Eugene Field Elementary, Marshall Elementary, Mark Twain Elementary, and Kendall-Whittier Elementary, will hold classes March 7-11, March 21-25, and April 8, 2011.

In all, Tulsa Public Schools students have missed 11 days because of winter weather. Nine of those days were from the record-setting blizzard earlier this month.
