Man Honors Late Wife With Scholarship Donation To OSU

UNDATED -- Many couples give flowers and chocolates on Valentine's Day, but one man is giving the gift of education to show his love for his late wife.

Dr. Dayal Meshri is donating money for scholarships to Oklahoma State University's Center for Health Sciences. His wife was a chemist, physicist and geologist who died in 2005.

"Whatever I can do for the city and the people and young Tulsa I will do my best," Dr. Meshri said.

The check is for $100,001. The extra dollar is for good luck.

Scholarships will go to first-year medical students who show financial need.
