Arrest Made In Sand Springs Stabbing

SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- Sand Springs police arrested a suspect Friday night in connection with a stabbing.

Police say 20-year-old Jesse Smith was stabbed on Highway 97 near 21st Street about 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Police say Smith was stabbed in the chest and arm. He was taken to a Tulsa hospital in serious condition, but is expected to survive his injuries.

Officers arrested 17-year-old Mark Davis on one count of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.  Davis was booked into the Tulsa County jail.

Police believe the stabbing was a result of an ongoing dispute.
