NOWATA, Oklahoma -- Public Service Company of Oklahoma believes a car into a utility pole in the city of Nowata may have been to blame for a power outage Thursday morning.
PSO says electric service has been restored to the northern Oklahoma community.
Elsewhere, about 500 PSO customers in the Mayes County area around Pryor were without electric service for several hours Thursday morning.
The Tulsa Area Chapter of the American Red Cross closed its warming station at the Nowata Senior Citizens center at 238 North Maple Thursday afternoon. It had been opened for people affected by the power and water outages occurring in Nowata County.
