Frosted Windshield Stops Tulsa Truck Thief

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A thief stole a pickup truck that was being warmed up in front of a home in the 1400 block of East 55th Place, Thursday morning, but didn't get very far.

Tulsa Police say the victim heard the pickup truck being revved up, went outside and confronted the man.  The thief pushed the victim down then drove away.

Police said the pickup truck traveled about 300 feet before it hit a mailbox and came to a stop in a ditch.  The thief jumped out and ran away.

Police say it appears frost on the windshield prevented the man from seeing where he was going.

Police say the victim was not injured.
