TULSA, Oklahoma -- a woman and her children are forced out of their home after it was sprayed with gunfire.
Police say it might have been a case of mistaken identity - but the family that lived there isn't taking any chances.
The gunfire started at 11:30 last night, along Cincinnati Avenue, at 43rd Street North.
Twelve hours after someone shot up her house in the night, Treasure Offor is still nervous - even in the daytime.
"Even standing here is kind of scary for me, I just want to grab a few things for children and leave," Offor said.
The front of her house is covered with 7 bullet holes - and chunks out of the brick where bullets bounced off.
"The police said they were standing here, shooting through my children's window," Offor said.
Her 5 children were all asleep just on the other side of the wall. Some of the bullets went into their beds. Some went all the way through the house.
"I hit the floor and I just waited for everything to stop. I actually thought they wanted to get in and kill us, so I just laid there," she said.
Now, she's packing up to leave, just a month after she moved in. But she knows it's not safe for her or her children, regardless of why someone was shooting into their house.
Police say from the evidence it looks like there were three people standing in the front yard, firing into the house at close range.
From the bullet holes, it looks like they were aiming into the bedrooms where those little children were sleeping.
"I just thank God, because like I said, three of the children have bullet holes in their beds and they're fine, they're just fine," Offor said.
Tulsa Police say they don't have much to go on to help them find the shooters. There were no witnesses.
Offor didn't see anything either, and didn't stick around to see if the shooters would come back.
"I grabbed the kids and whatever, we were in pajamas and a jacket, and we left."
Police are confident it was a case of mistaken identity, and they hope someone will give them a tip they can use to find the people responsible.
