TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office escorted a massive piece of oil field equipment from Sapulpa through the city of Tulsa to the Port of Catoosa Wednesday.
The sheriff's office was asked to assist because the firm moving the equipment was unable to get a permit to use the interstate highways in and around Tulsa. The reason, highway construction.
The movers had to use Memorial Drive in Bixby and Tulsa before heading east on 51st Street in Broken Arrow. From there they headed north to the Port of Catoosa.
The moving process includes using utility bucket trucks and other related vehicles because of the height of the equipment being moved.
