Mayes County High School Marching Band Looking For Last Minute Donations

CHOUTEAU, Oklahoma -- It is down to the wire for Chouteau High School's marching band.

Band members from the Mayes County school district were invited to perform in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio Wednesday.

They plan on leaving Monday evening and are $400 short of the money they need to make the trip.

School officials say Tulsa Union band parent helped by collecting donations for the band. A man from Beggs saw the story on NewsOn6.com and donated an undisclosed amount as did some OSU alumni.
