Owasso Police Officers Take Kids On Christmas Shopping Spree

OWASSO, Oklahoma -- Police officers in Owasso got to spend part of their day picking out the perfect Barbie doll Monday.

Officers paired up with a youngster and headed to the toy department for Cops for Kids. Each year police take kids on a Christmas shopping spree.

"The children have a blast getting to pick out what they want, merchants are always glad because they get to give back to the community and of course our officers are excited about it too," said Owasso Police Sgt. Nick Boatman.

This is the second year for Owasso's fraternal order of police to participate.
