The front is located to the south of the state this morning and we're back to the 40s today with mostly to partly cloudy conditions.  Yesterday afternoon was mild and even warm to the south.  Wichita Falls Texas hit 83F and set a new daily maximum record yesterday afternoon. We're already tracking the next system which will approach our area tomorrow with a chance of light drizzle or a few flurries.  Some measurable snowfall is likely tomorrow across the western third of the state, roughly along and north of the I-40 corridor across the western sections of the state.

The upper air flow is mainly zonal today and will bring the system across the state tomorrow.  Most data sets dampen the system as it moves eastward and create very little snowfall across eastern OK, but we'll keep a slight mention of some flurries or brief sprinkles in the forecast for tomorrow afternoon or evening.  The light snow in western OK will begin unfolding tomorrow morning.  Areas more west, including most of Northeastern New Mexico and part of the Texas panhandle region will see measurable snowfall. Significant snowfall will occur in New Mexico where 8 to 12 inches of snow will be likely.  If you have travel plans west into New Mexico today, remain alert as this system will produce snow today across these areas.

The system will be southeast of us Saturday morning and we don't see any big precipitation makers on the map for several days leading up to the Christmas Holiday.

The upper air pattern will bring another system into the region Monday night and Tuesday morning but the air mass will be more from the pacific and therefore not nearly as cold compared to the previous two weeks. The temperatures should be nearing normal by the middle to end of next week based on the expected pattern and pattern recognition.
