TULSA, Oklahoma -- John 3:16 Ministries laid a cornerstone Tuesday for a new building in downtown Tulsa.

It's the first building the ministry has ever built, they've always adapted existing buildings. This new building includes a new commercial kitchen to feed the homeless, the largest one in Tulsa, with a new chapel and expanded space to serve the homeless.

"Tulsa is one of the most generous and giving cities I know of around the nation," said Reverend Steve Whitaker, with John 3:16. "This building has been done by faith - not the government, not by any other organization. It's been done by faith."

John 3:16 will move into the building in the spring.
