TULSA, Oklahoma -- A lot of attention is given to children who need gifts during the holiday season, but a lot of people are also playing Santa to a senior.
Volunteers spent the Monday wrapping more than a thousand gifts that people have bought for seniors in need.
They say the shopping for gifts and wrapping is fun, but the best part is in the delivery.
"When you knock on someone's door who may or may not know this is coming. talk about a Christmas surprise and really making the holidays better for someone. that's the gift," said Andrew Garrean of Home Instead Senior Care:
Home Instead Senior Care has been organizing the program locally for six years and has collected 20,000 gifts since then.
