Major Nowata County Bridge Rehab Project Completed

NOWTA COUNTY -- A major Nowata County traffic route has been reopened ahead of schedule, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

Both east and westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 60 at the Verdigris River bridge are open as of Friday, December 10. The bridge is east of the community of Nowata.

The $1.3 million project to repair and paint the bridge began in October and finished eight days ahead of schedule.
