TULSA, Oklahoma -- Two soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division returned home for the holidays at Tulsa International Airport Thursday morning.

Specialist Stephen Fulton and Specialist Jesse Mitchell are returning from a tour in Afghanistan. Specialist Mitchell says things are changing there.

"It's getting better, honestly," said Specialist Jesse Mitchell, with the 101st Airborne. "You look at the way things the way it was back when I went the first time, 06-07, the way it is now and massive improvement. We work hard with the locals and they're actually leading a lot of missions now."

A veterans motorcycle group, along with family and friends, was on hand as the soldiers arrived.  The Veterans group says they try to welcome back soldiers at TIA whenever they get word of their return.

Both Specialist Mitchell and Specialist Stephen Fulton say they expect to be home for a while and are looking forward to a little "r and r."
