TULSA, Oklahoma -- Joe Kelley and Rick Couri, DJs at KRMG, have spent the last couple of days at LaFortune Park collecting donations for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. They're asking listeners to open their hearts and wallets to help children in need.

Since the Oklahoma chapter started just over 20 years ago, it's granted nearly 2,000 wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

"A wish is a source of happiness and a source of joy and strength for a child and that child's family when they're facing some very, very big challenges and some dark days," said Jane Rohweder of Make-A-Wish Foundation Oklahoma.

The fundraiser wrapped up Thursday evening.  They collected more than $191,000 for Make-A-Wish foundation.
