MARIETTA, Oklahoma – One child is dead and four children were seriously injured in an accident involving a four-wheeler ride at the Love County Fairgrounds Friday night.
Officials at the scene said a four-wheeler was pulling 55 gallon drums like a train and seven kids were riding in the drums, when for an unknown reason, the drums overturned. An 8-year-old was killed and four other children were seriously injured.
The ride was part of a benefit dinner event at the fairgrounds.
The injured children were airlifted to an area hospital. The victims' names have not been released.
