Deputy: Bartlesville School Teacher Caught Having Sex With Female Student

BARTLESVILLE, Oklahoma -- A Bartlesville school teacher was arraigned on one count of forcible sodomy during a hearing in Washington County District Court Friday afternoon.

Jeffrey Wade, who teaches computer applications at Bartlesville Mid-High School, was charged Friday in connection to an incident which police say occurred on the evening of November 4, 2010.

An affidavit filed with the court indicated a Washington County Sheriff's Office deputy on routine patrol found Wade's pickup truck parked on the side of a county road.  Upon inspection, the deputy found Wade and a 16-year old female in the pickup cab. 

The teen told deputies she had had sex with Wade.  She also indicated she was a student in one of Wade's classes at the Mid-High.

If convicted, Wade could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

Jeffrey Wade remains in the Washington County jail.
