Turner Turnpike Truck Fire Stops Traffic For Short Time Between Bristow And Kellyville

BRISTOW, Oklahoma -- Eastbound traffic on the Turner Turnpike was diverted off the turnpike for about 45 minutes Thursday afternoon due to a semi truck fire.  

The fire spread to a grassy area next to the turnpike that kept several fire departments busy.

While the turnpike was closed, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says eastbound traffic was redirected to state Highway 66 and back onto the turnpike at the Kellyville exit.
