Wolfgang Puck Visits His Tulsa Bistro Wednesday Evening

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck made an appearance at his Tulsa bistro Wednesday night.

Wolfgang Puck Bistro opened in Brookside in August.  Puck dropped in to see how business was doing.  He admitted he wasn't sure about the idea of opening a restaurant in Tulsa.

"At the beginning I was like, 'I don't know Tulsa if that is the right place' but I think there's so many great people here and they really seem to enjoy the food and the restaurant, so I'm really happy to be here," he said.

He's also participating in a fundraiser at St. Francis Children's Hospital in Tulsa, where they're auctioning off a dinner for 24 where Wolfgang will come and cook in your own kitchen.

"There are so many kids out there who need help, so many kids who need to get good care so I think it's great to have people here in town who are really donating so much money and spending time to raise money for the children's hospital," he said.

Puck has restaurants in Las Vegas, Boston, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles, but his bistro in Tulsa is his first franchisee-owned eatery.
