TULSA, Oklahoma -- Matzo ball soup, kosher hot dogs and falafel, they were all on the menu at Temple Israel's Shalom Fest Sunday.

Each year the temple opens its doors to showcase Jewish customs, music and of course food.

"We're inviting the outside community to come in and see what Temple Israel is about and what Judaism is about," said Seth Latidus, Shalom Fest Chair.

Visitors witnessed a mock wedding and heard a reading from the Torah. They also took part in a Bat Mitzvah.

It's the 17th year for the event.
