TULSA, Oklahoma -- An ambitious Boy Scout is helping visitors get their bearings at Jones Riverside Airport.
Jesse Durney is working towards Eagle Scout. One of his projects is to create a mural that shows the airport layout. It's located on the southwest corner of the airport in the new viewing area where people can watch planes take off and land.
Since April, Durney has been painting runways, taxiways and hangars, creating an impressive one to 200 scale diagram.
"My dad, he's a pilot and I like to go flying with him a lot too, and so I think airports are kinda cool," said Durney.
Durney is putting on the finishing touches. He tells The News On 6 it's been hard work, but also a lot of fun.
