Owasso High School Band Fundraiser Set For Saturday

OWASSO, OKLAHOMA -- The Pride of Owasso High School Band is holding a 5K run and a one mile fun run to raise money for their trip to the 122nd Tournament of Roses Parade in January.

"Run to the Beat" will start with a fun run at 8:30 a.m. this Saturday, September 11th. The 5K run begins at 9 a.m.

The event will start at the Owasso High School Band Building parking lot. Medals will be awarded to the first three places in each age group.

Advanced registration for the one mile fun run is $10.00 or $15.00 on race day. The 5k is $25.00 for advanced registration or $30.00 on race day.

Event organizers say this is the fifth time the Pride of Owasso has been invited to return to the Tournament of Roses parade, which is more than any other band in the nation.
