Domestic Dispute Leaves One Person Dead in Broken Arrow

BROKEN ARROW, OKLAHOMA -- Broken Arrow police are investigating the death of a man who died after being stabbed in the chest during a domestic incident early Monday morning.

Officers were called to the home at 12:15 a.m. on a report of a man and woman fighting.  The home is located in the 400 block of North Date Avenue.

The woman told officers she was trying to leave and stabbed the man in self-defense when he tried to stop her.

The man, identified as 43-year-old Breck Barton, was taken to a Broken Arrow hospital where he died.

The woman was not arrested.
