Suspect Identified In Fatal Hit And Run On Tulsa Highway Early Friday

TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- Tulsa Police have identified the driver of a pickup truck they say was involved in a fatal hit and run wreck just after midnight on U.S. Highway 169 in Tulsa.

Geoffrey Miller, 27, was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on one complaint of first degree manslaughter and one complaint of leaving the scene of an accident.

Tulsa Police said Miller was driving northbound on Highway 169 at 46th Street North when he struck a man crossing the highway.  Police said Miller struck the center median before heading north to Owasso.

Police say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tulsa Police notified Owasso Police who pulled Miller over at 85th Street North and 129th East Avenue.

Tulsa Police have not released the name of the victim.

Police say alcohol was a factor in the accident.
